Hello and welcome!

My name is Ephraim Rudolph and I am a senior-level writer, editor, and creative communicator with six years of experience in marketing and public relations agency settings working on national brand content and campaigns.

My main focus areas have been healthcare and cloud software, and my clients have included Eli Lilly and Company, Salesforce, Omada Health, and Wellframe, among others. My writing has been published across major company websites as well as in top business and healthcare trade publications including Harvard Business Review and Fierce Healthcare.

Thank you for visiting — please scroll on for the full story of my career.

Heart of Florida United Way

In the beginning of 2024, I took a three-month contract role as a copywriter at Heart of Florida United Way, helping to publicize the United Way’s mission in Central Florida. This was a hybrid role; I visited the office two days a week. I also helped staff the company’s many events, taking photos and leading interviews.

Most of my work involved blog posts and corresponding sets of social media posts. I also crafted email newsletters and ghostwrote letters for leaders, but most of the foundational content can be found in the blog posts.

A list of highlights:

Highwire Public Relations

From summer 2022 to summer 2023, I was a fully remote healthcare-focused writer with the title of Senior Staff Writer, Health at Highwire Public Relations, which is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Boston, and Chicago.

At Highwire, I wrote bylines for some of America’s leading digital health and technology companies, often ghostwriting as CEOs.

TrendyMinds

From 2018 to 2022, I was a copywriter with the title Copy & Content Specialist at the Indianapolis marketing agency TrendyMinds. I was promoted to ‘Senior’ in 2021. This was a fully in-office role from 2018 until early 2020, and fully remote thereafter.

My client work is below, but here are some blog posts I wrote for the TrendyMinds website:

Eli Lilly and Company

In addition to the publicly-available assets shared on this page, I wrote various internal communications materials for Lilly, including scripts for a handful of informational videos.

COVID-19 Antibody Resources

Collaborating closely with scientists and advisors from Lilly and a team of designers and project managers from TrendyMinds, I was the lead writer on several iterations of playbooks and guides for the administration of Lilly’s COVID-19 antibody treatments in healthcare settings. I also contributed significant edits to lillyantibody.com in early summer 2021. At that time, solo bamlanivimab was phased out in favor of a combined treatment together with etesevimab; my work predates Lilly’s current marquee antibody, bebtelovimab.

100 Years of Insulin

I crafted messaging guidelines for Lilly’s campaign commemorating the centennial of the discovery of insulin and wrote the corresponding webpage, as well as an animated timeline tracing the known history of diabetes. I also edited a detailed 50-slide presentation on diabetes and insulin innovation for internal use by Lilly employees.

COVID-19 Antibody Awareness Campaign

I was a contributing writer on Lilly’s awareness campaign about antibody treatments for COVID-19. I wrote social media ads and other campaign copy, but I can’t claim the We Can Do More Than Hope tagline — it came from an offhand comment by the project's lead designer. This campaign was a finalist for a Fierce Pharma Marketing Award in 2021.

3 Steps to Prep

I wrote the foundational infographic and corresponding social media ads for this Lilly campaign to help people prepare for telehealth visits. The three steps were prepare yourselfprepare your space, and prepare your tech. This campaign was also a finalist for a Fierce Pharma Marketing Award in 2021.

Lilly Diabetes

I have written dozens of posts for the Lilly Diabetes social media accounts. I’m not the only writer, but if you see a post about the Insulin Value Program or the Lilly Diabetes Solution Center, it was probably written by me! I have also written social media ads and animated video scripts for the Lilly Diabetes campaign Off to a Good Start, which educates type 2 diabetes patients about the importance of treatment adherence.

Salesforce

My work with Salesforce dates back to my earliest days at TrendyMinds in 2018. Below you can see a semi-complete list of my projects that are still floating around on their servers.

I was the lead writer on all of the projects on this page, which were often based on interviews I held with Salesforce customers and ‘subject matter experts.’ Beyond the pieces shown here, I wrote and helped conceptualize many email campaigns, digital ads, and gift mailers.

Miscellaneous

Indiana University Health

I wrote a variety of pieces for Indiana University Health, including blog posts to help audiences find peace of mind while weathering the difficult first winter of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, only one of my projects remains online:

I was the lead writer on this brochure showcasing the many healthcare services available to patients traveling from around the world to receive specialized care at IU Health.

Humana

Most of my work for Humana was internally-facing and proprietary, but in the latter few years at TrendyMinds, they were my main client. In lieu of linking to examples, I have included some short descriptions of my major projects for the company.

Dental

I was the lead writer on a complete reworking of the messaging guidelines for Humana Dental, based on extensive interviews with key stakeholders throughout the department. I also wrote various digital advertising and sales materials for Humana Dental.

Group Medicare Advantage

I wrote a wide variety of communications material on behalf of Humana Group Medicare Advantage, including digital advertising, one-pagers, whitepapers, informational booklets, and gift boxes.

Employer Group

I wrote a comprehensive guide to the Humana Employer Group, serving as an overview for potential new members. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I also wrote one-pagers and guides on return-to-work protocols and vaccine preparedness for employers.

Other Work

Before my career took hold at TrendyMinds, I briefly worked as a contract copywriter for two other companies:

Autumn 2017 | Conner Prairie in Fishers, Indiana, which is a living history park focused on the mid-1800s. I wrote for the public-facing blog and two internal newsletters, and also had a side gig doing odd jobs around the grounds.

Spring 2018 | Pathfinders Advertising in Mishawaka Indiana, where I was fortunate enough to write a few webpages for PayPal about a now-retired product called the Cash Card. I also wrote about school bus lines and walnut-shell cat litter.

Before I graduated from school and became a copywriter, my professional experience centered on retail. While in college, I worked for about a year and a half at Tommy Bahama and a few months at the Lego Store in different malls around Indianapolis.

Education

I graduated with my bachelors in strategic communication from Butler University in Indianapolis in 2015 and with my masters in mass communication from the University of Florida in 2017.

I am currently studying in the UF/IFAS Extension Florida Master Naturalist Program; I earned the Upland Systems Certification in March 2024 and will take the Coastal Systems course this summer.
