Leif Oleson-Cormack is a comedian, writer, and narrative designer.  


His one-man-show, “The Disney Delusion” received a sold out run at the 2021 Edmonton Fringe Festival and had a cross-country tour of the Canada Fringe Circuit in 2022, where it was nominated for the Just for Laughs Award for Outstanding English Comedy at the Montreal Fringe. He was the winner of the 19th Annual Calgary FunnyFest Comedy Competition and has performed at a number of festivals including The District Queer Comedy Festival, Found Festival, and the Park Slope Comedy Festival.  As a comedian, he co-runs a weekly comedy showcase every Tuesday night at 9pm at Blakbar Tavern.

He was the lead narrative designer and writer for The Low Road, a point-and-click adventure game for Mac and PC developed by XGen Studios and was a narrative designer and writer on the game, “Tails: The Backbone Preludes” for EggNut studios.

As a playwright, his work has been performed at Signature Theatre in New York, The Edmonton Fringe Festival, Shadow Theatre, Northern Light Theatre, Sage Theatre, and The Enbridge PlayRites Festival. His play “Dead Peasants” was the winner of 2012 Samuel French Canadian Playwriting Award which is currently available in print. Leif is a graduate of The Juilliard School’s Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights program and The University of Calgary where he received his MFA in Playwriting.

He has also studied at the Banff Centre, Primary Stages, Magnet Theatre, The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, and Second City.
